Nina Lee Park Lane dress
The Park Lane dress is one I'd seen many people make so decided to try and recreate a beautiful Rixo dress I'd seen using the pattern.
The Pattern
It's a dress (or blouse) with a high waistline and pretty gathered bust. There's two different neckline options - round neck or collar. There are three sleeve variations to pick from and an optional shoulder ruffle.
It's described as suitable for an intermediate or confident beginner.
Recommended fabrics are those with plenty of drape for the dress version, such as viscose or silk.

Hacks/Adjustments
I'd made this pattern once before, so knew I needed to shorten the bodice by an inch (I'm 5ft 2" so this is a very common adjustment for me!
To get the look of the Rixo dress (see below!) instead of using the cuff for the sleeve I added one line of shirring and some crotchet trim to the hem.
Fabric
To make my dress I used this beautiful viscose crepe from Fabric Godmother. I am
lucky enough to be an ambassador for them
and I had just enough of this fabric left over from my ambassador make to squeeze this dress.

A viscose crepe works really well for this dress. It's drapey but not too flimsy if you know what I mean!
I found the crotchet trim on Etsy.
Have you ever tried to recreate a RTW item you've seen?
I'm pleased with how this one turned out!
